Studio Laura Itkonen's production emphasizes sustainable methods which means that environmentally friendly materials and production methods are being used but also, most of my products has a production time. The reason for pre-order system is simple: NO for overproduction and YES for customizability and sustainability. If you wish to have a customized item (I love to make these!), contact me before making your order. In this case, the price of the product can vary. The production time takes generally from 2 weeks up to 6 weeks, estimated production time of each product is indicated in the product description. You will be kept up to date on how your order is processed. In some cases there might some products in stock in small quantities or as a one of kind piece of art. In this case your order will be shipped as soon as possible.

Special orders and custom-made combinations are not returnable, exchangeable or refundable.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

I always wish that my customers are happy with their purchases. I’m happy to assist with questions and details about all my products. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. Placing an order indicates that you accept the terms.

By placing an order you warrant that you are at least 18 years old (or have parents' permission to buy from my shop) and accept these terms & conditions which shall apply to all orders placed or to be placed at Studio Laura Itkonen for the sale and supply of any products. None of these terms & conditions affect your statutory rights. No other terms or changes to the terms & conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing signed by me.

Nature of my products
Please note that due to the nature of materials and handmade production methods, my products may vary by colour and finalizing from the photos of the products and orders made earlier. Please remember this when placing your order. My work is entirely handcrafted and minor differences are natural as well as the value in the handmade products.

Production
I emphasizes pre-order system and so most of my products are made to order meaning that I shall start working after I receive your order. The reason for pre-order system is simple: NO for overproduction and YES for customizability and sustainability. In my production, I don't use any materials harmful to man or nature and I pay special attention to recycling and economical use of water. And since the products are made to order, I can also customize your order! In this case, contact me before making your order. In this case the price of the product can also vary. The estimated production time of each item is indicated in the product description. I'll keep you informed by email about the completion of your order. In some cases there might some products in stock in small quantities. In this case your order will be shipped as soon as possible.

I make decorative items and works of art which are not meant for food use.

Force Majeure
Incidents outside Studio Laura Itkonen's control, which is not reasonably foreseeable, shall be considered force majeure, meaning that Studio Laura Itkonen is released from Studio Laura Itkonen's obligations to fulfill contractual agreements.

Prices
All prices and charges on the pricelist are in euros. The prices include Finnish VAT (24% or 10%). Prices do not include delivery or custom costs. Orders from non-EU countries might be subject to duties and/or taxes. Duties and/or taxes are the resposibility of the customer and are due at the time of delivery.

Payment
All products remain Studio Laura Itkonen's property until full payment is made. The price applicable is that set at the date on which you place your order. All transfers are handled and transacted through third party dedicated gateways to guarantee your protection. Card information is not stored and all card information is handled over SSL encryption. Please read the terms & conditions for the payment gateway choosen for the transaction as they are responsible for the transactions made.

Local Taxes
Please note that local charges (sales tax, customs duty) may occur, depending on your region and local customs duties. These charges are at the customers own expense.

Shipping
Orders in Finland are sent via Posti or UPS and abroad generally via UPS. The items will be sent with a tracking number for the benefit of both parties.

When the products are made and ready to be shipped, they are dispatched asap. I will keep you up to date on how your order is processed by email. Delivery time after the dispatching of the order within Finland and Europe is 2-6 working days and to outside Europe 7-14 working days. Local public holidays may affect delivery times.

Please notice that not picking up your order from the pick-up point is not the same as returning your order. If you decide not to pick up your order, you must notify us by email. We do not refund any shipping or other extra costs in this case.

Damaged or defective merchandise
I’ll always repair any damages due to production issues on my end at my discretion. Please note that due to the nature of materials, my products are fragile and should be handled with care. If upon reception of the product, you believe that it is not how it should be, you should immediately contact me via e-mail, indicating the product information and the defects found (please add a clear photo of the damage and of the whole product). Damages must be documented and reported within 5 days of receiving the order. All claims are to be written and official, referring to the relevant information, including your personal and product order information. In the event that this claim is admitted, the responsibility of Studio Laura Itkonen will be strictly limited to the replacement of the defective product at no extra charge, or the possibility of offering a refund for the cost of the order. Studio Laura Itkonen is not responsible for damages done by the transportation company.

Returns
If for some reason you are not satisfied with the item you have purchased, you can return your order within 14 days of delivery. All of the returned items must be in the same condition and in the original, undamaged packaging as they were when purchased. To begin the return process, please send me an email first to get more detailed information. All returns must always be sent with a tracking code and notified to me in advance. Returns can only be processed once the returned product has arrived back to me and its condition has been checked. Please notice that discounted or custom-made products can not be returned unless they are damaged or defective merchandise.

In the case of damaged or defective merchandise, I will try to replace these items with an identical, undamaged item. Please notice that some of my products are unique and producing exactly similar item can be impossible. To begin the return process, please send me an email within 5 days of receiving the order to get more information. I cannot accept returns due to slight color or size differentiations, due to the fact that products are individually handmade.

All returned products have to be properly repacked in their original packaging and in perfect conditions. In such case I will refund the sum paid, minus the costs of shipping. Refunds can be made after I receive the returned items. You are responsible for all costs of returning the goods. If the goods are not properly repacked and therefore cannot be resold as new, I reserve the right to apply a charge of 30% of the price you paid for the goods, which you agree I may discount from your refund for the goods. If the goods are damaged whilst in your care or if you fail to return all parts of the goods, I have the right to withhold payment of all or part of the refund in respect of the goods as compensation for our loss on these goods. Please notice that if the product has two or more separate parts, each part must be wrapped in its own silk paper to keep them intact from transport.

Unclaimed shipment

Failure to pick up a shipment is not the same as returning or canceling an order. If the order is returned to Studio Laura Itkonen without being picked up, I will automatically refund the money for the ordered products, excl. the postage costs of the order and the costs arising from the return of the order (In Finland 12.50€/Posti pakettiautomaatti, other countries/couriers are priced individually).

I will not resend uncollected orders unless otherwise agreed. If you want to receive the ordered products again, you can place a new order through our online store. A telephone number and / or e-mail address provided incorrectly by the subscriber may result in the arrival notification not being received and the order being returned to Studio Laura Itkonen as undisclosed. Studio Laura Itkonen is entitled to charge the costs of an uncollected shipment even if the arrival notification has not been received due to incomplete information provided by the subscriber or for other reasons beyond the company's control. So please check your contact details carefully when placing your order so that the arrival notification arrives.

When ordering in Finland, please take into account the Posti's storage times (7 days in Posti service points and pakettiautomaatti. Weekends and public holidays are included in this 7 days depending on the opening hours of the pick-up point). Studio Laura Itkonen is not responsible for orders not picked up as a result of travel and other expenses.

Additional Information
Studio Laura Itkonen reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase and product offerings without prior notice.

Most of the products are made to order so it will take a certain time to produce your order. The production time varies between different products, generally it’s from 2 weeks up to 6 weeks. At the time of subscription, Studio Laura Itkonen always confirms the current production time. In some cases there might some products in stock in small quantities. In this case your order will be shipped as soon as possible.

Colors, patterns and sizes may vary slightly due to the characteristics of handmade products.
