'Tuokio I-V' (‘Moment I-V’ in english) are three-dimensional ceramic ceiling reliefs in the procedure rooms on the 1st floor of the Women’s Hospitals A-wing. The works are selections from the larger 'Tuokioita I-VI' wall reliefs in the elevator lobbies, which consist of different shapes and textures forming detailed, figurative entities. The works placed above the patient beds in the procedure rooms serve as a calming and attention-grabbing element for the patient during the procedures.
The starting point of the reliefs have been the colors and architectural elements characteristic of the building's style period, as well as the various imaginary stories that the walls of the building hold inside. I have sought human features and allusive human figures in the works through shapes. The human body is also visible in the works in organic surface textures and shapes.
