Handmade ceramic murals for 47 rooms in the premises of Folks Hotel Konepaja, Helsinki.

Folks Konepaja is a boutique hotel located in the historic Konepaja district, defined as a nationally significant industrial and cultural environment which used to be an old railway engineering workshop area. I’ve designed and made unique ceramic murals for 19 rooms (suite, minisuites and superior plus) located in the oldest part of the hotel built in 1901 and for 28 superior rooms in the main building, built in 1921. Parts of the pieces are made of traditional Finnish terracotta clay which is a significant building material for the Konepaja and hotel area buildings.
